Buster’s Story

In Honor of Buster

Buster’s Lifeline was founded in honor of Buster who was our loving cat. Buster was adopted September of 2000 from an animal refuge at just six weeks old. He sat alone and very shy in a corner of a room filled with kittens. We knew he was the one the second we saw him. We gave him a great and healthy life filled with unconditional love, support, food, treats and lots of toys. He wasn’t just our pet, he was a real part of our family. Buster even moved with us completely across the country on a long flight. Nothing was going to separate us and nothing did.

Buster Lived to be 17

Buster spent his senior days bathing in the sun, being close to his family while sharing and expressing love and care he received. We made sure he had a very healthy life, but when age finally caught up to him, it started to show. Veterinarians always came to Buster’s house to treat him rather than him going to them. Buster and kennels didn’t get along, he strongly expressed that, therefore, we always made sure we kept him out of them at his wishes and to the end.

Our Mission is to Save Animal Lives

On November 19th 2017, Buster finally gave up his senior fight and went to pet heaven. He passed away peacefully at home, and in the arms of the only family he ever knew that rescued him and loved him dearly. Buster was never separated from us, we made that commitment to him from the moment he arrived at our home. Buster was cremated and his spirit is always with us and will continue to live in our hearts. His ashes have a place in the living room and will be carried into one of our graves when our time comes.

Now, in his honor, our mission is to save any animal’s life at risk of prematurely coming to an end.
